Went to use the Canon Easy Photo Print software yesterday which
immediately produced an error that it couldn't complete followed by
Dr.Watson

I have uninstalled the software, checked the registry that it is clear
of any record of Easy Photo Print, scanned with antivirus, spy and all
clear. The MS Spyware software is running in the background as well.
Downloaded updated version from Canon site and the same result.
My concern is that something in the system could be muddled although the
discs were scanned with no issues reported.

Is this a setting in which SFC/scannow would be appropriate- or is there
another direction I haven't thought of at the moment?

IMO, following Dr. Watson errors is a waste of time. You have to install
symbols, they are not installed by default.

But if you so desire, knock yourself out.

As near as I can tell, Dr Watson is virtually worthless without the symbols.

I agree that Dr. Watson is more window dressing than informative. I just
have not had it pop up 'ever'. Essentially it appears that it is
identifying what it is that crashed. Well, I know what crashed <grin>
I'd just like to know why- just out of the blue that software will not
load completely.
Life in the computer doesn't depend on that photo print software but my
concern is that it might be a signal of something amiss.
The last lines in the software error report included 'Grabmi_Filter_This
file only ' which was a bjezimg.dll so I'm assuming it has become
damaged even with the clean install of updated version.

My main inquiry was whether or not to do a SFC /Scannow to ensure that
Xpsp2 is in order
