Symantec Norton Antivirus 2006 FREE after rebates

S

Sweet Andy

ditto. I had Norton 2003 which I got free btw from a rebate. Did nothing but
mess up the machine. Bad, bad stuff that Norton stuff.

Not freeware at all. Getting a program for free after rebates doesn't
make it freeware. It has to be free to download & use to be freeware.

Particulary since rebates are so difficult to get. I would rather use
spyware than a rebate.

I'm not interested in a flashback to the extreme power of intel 80386 (in
other words, I will not install that crap)

I don't reply to trolls like Andy Mabbett or Doc (who uses sock puppets)
for instance. No adware, cdware, commercial software, crippleware,
demoware, nagware, PROmotionware, shareware, spyware, time-limited
software, trialware, viruses or warez for me, please.

I have never had a problem with NAV, nor with Norton Utilities or GoBack
since they bought it out.

I gotta agree with you there. Even if you do send in a rebate, it
doesn't mean that you will even get the money back. I have sent in
rebates in the past & have never even gotten the rebate money which I
was supposed to get.

In the computer industry, it is very common for companies to offer
rebates but the chance of ever getting the rebate is very slim.

tough way to find out that payware is not always the 'way' to go...perhaps
you should change your handle to 'hosed1'
