Switching Users in Windows Email Takes almost 1-1/2 minutes!

I am the primary user and am on windows email day. When my husband comes
home at night and switches to his user, it takes 50 seconds of black screen,
then he gets his user icon and clicks, and then ANOTHER 30 seconds for his
email account to come up. It is so long that he won't use it anymore.
However, when I switch back to my account from his, it takes 15 seconds. Any
advice?

User switching delay is not a topic that is normally covered in this
newsgroup. Why not stay with just one Windows user profile?
If you don't want to use the same message store as your spouse,
perhaps one could use Windows Mail, and the other Windows Live Mail.

Thanks for your reply. Which newsgroup would I send the post to so I can see
if this is just a normal Vista drawback (it sure was easy switching back and
forth between users in XP)? We would not mind using the same user profile,
but if it is not too complicated to describe, how would I redirect emails
that go to his email address to my message store? Sorry, I am very non-techy,
and I do not know what Windows Live Mail is--so it seems the simplest way
would be direct all our email to one user.

I appreciate your assistance. You've helped me with problems a few times
now!

If you don't mind the lack of privacy, both of you could use the same email
program under the same Windows user profile. Windows Mail allows you
to add as many email accounts as you want. The drawback is that all
incoming email for all accounts are deposited in the same inbox.
It is possible through Message Rules to separate incoming mail so it
will go into separate folders. However, it would be easier for you to simply
upgrade your email program to Windows Live Mail, since it does the
sorting of incoming mail (by account) automatically.

Four possibilities:

1. Use different Windows Users

2. Make new folders and make a message rule like this:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message is from the mail.fjsmjs.com account
Move it to the fjsmjs folder
and Stop processing more rules

3. Use Windows Live Mail which has separate folders for each account:

4. WMIDs http://www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/Default.aspx
