Switching from older version WMM to the new WMM2

Hello,
I was looking thoughout the other posts in case this question had already been asked but I don't see that it has. Right now I have the older version of WMM and currently have about 4 hours of saved project I am working on (a trip to France...) anyways it obviously slows down my computer and I am still in the process of editing it, however since I started it I learned about WMM2 and would like to download it. Okay so here are my questions, if I download the WMM2 will the project I have saved go bye bye or will I be able to pick up right where I left off but with the new additions of the WMM2. When downloading the WMM2 does it replace the old version/add additions to it/or adds a new program while still keeping the old version. Anyways, thank you...)

Yes, you can use version 2 to continue editing your version 1 project files,
but it's a one way street. Backup your project files first in case you want
to use MM1.

See the Setup > Software page of my website for info about setting it up so
you have both versions when done.
