Switching from Maximizer

I am a maximizer user and considering switching to BCM. I have close to 10
yrs data including emails. As I understand I should be able to import it to
BCM. It would be great to get some feed back from other who have done this.

Maximizer does not store emails at all. If you're referring to links
between contacts and emails, then yes. In BCM you would 1) get your
emails into outlook if they are not already there ( from thunderbird or
wherever ), then 2) get your contacts into outlook ( maximizer has an
outlook synching utility I remember... you have to make a favorite list
with basically all your contacts included, then you synch that favorite
list with your default outlook profile to get your contacts ( and
activities ) into outlook 3) drag your outlook contacts to the BCM
contacts folder. ( go on a day trip with the family, come back 12 hours
later ) 4) run the email linking utility in bcm to automatically link the
10 yrs of unlinked emails to the corresponding BCM contacts with the same
respective email addresses. ( go on a weekend trip with teh family )

Histories in maximizer? That's not as easy.
