Switching between domain & workgroup networks

Mick

Hi all,
I have a laptop running xp pro that is connected to my
work network domain. I would like to connect this laptop
to my home wireless network workgroup. Can this be done
without removing the laptop from the domain? I can
connect to my home network fine but when I try to connect
back to the domain I have to call our IT office to give
access to join my laptop back to the work domain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar situation, but I simply log onto the work network domain
when I'm at home. XP caches your domain credentials and uses them to
authenticate you when the domain server is unavailable. Everything works
fine--I can access shares on my home network, even though I'm not in the
workgroup. Can also access the wireless router. Browsing for other
computers on the home network is a little shaky sometimes. I usually just
access them with Start->Run->\\computername.
