Switched resolutions- now how do I make things readable?

I switched resolutions on my xp computer and would like to keep the new
setting (from 800x600 to 1280x1024 as well as the dpi to 120/inch to
help readability).

I have figured out how to make most type readable and played with the
appearance feature of desktop properties but some items are still fairly
small. I do not want to use the magnifier, if possible.

I would like to be able to enlarge the right click menu for programs
(not the desk top) as well as items like the address bar in windows IE.

Also, is there a way to enlarge images on web pages that have fonts in
them so the are fonts are readable. I have no problem enlarging webpage
fonts outside of images.

Any help appreciated.
