I just got a new Windows 7 computer and i'm moving my data from an xp machine
to it. I copied an Access 2000 database to the new machine and the
switchboard doesn't work. It doesn't display any of the menu items and if i
try to click on a menu item i get an error message.

Does it have a new version of Access 2007 on it? If so just under the ribbon
there should be a security warning bar. On it there is an Options button.
When you start up the database click on the Options button and select Enable
Content.

Thanks, Jerry. That did it.
