Switch question

I want to open up new message (opened from a link on the dsktop) with my
email address already inserted in the from box. Any way I can do this?

do you have more than one email account? if so, rather from filling in the
from field, you want the account selected.

I want to open up new message (opened from a link on the dsktop) with

The From box does not usually determine the sender address that your
recipients will see. The Accounts button will determine that.
