switch off

After using pc i try to switch off using tne turn off
computer. It will not switch off using the turn off
button, but will switch off using the hibernate button, i
am using xp proffesinal, any help would be gratefull.

Try the following and tell us if the PC will turn off:
Press winkey+L. This will lock computer or show the logon screen.
Now select Turn off
