Switch off or not ?

I have about 250 machines in the school. I would like
sound advice as to whether or not it would be safe to
switch them off until the 5th of January 2004 ?

Please forgive me if this is not the right NG. If it is
not, please advise me which one I should go to.

Yes you can turn them off. Personally I like to leave mine on and locked
with the monitor turned off, but you can turn them off.
