Howard,

To use your computer on the office domain, you'll need to join the domain. That
has to be done by a domain admin, probably somebody in the office IT group.
Once you're joined to the domain, you have to remain joined.

If you (the office domain admin for you) join the office domain, but leave one
or more local accounts on your computer that can access your workgroup
resources, you can login with a local account whenever you're connected to your
(home?) workgroup.

When you're connected to your office domain, you login with a domain account.
When you connect to your workgroup, you can login with a local account. The two
(and possibly others) can be selected, by the domain pulldown list, in the login
dialogue. The list should contain the domain name, and the local name of the
computer. Your domain admin, hopefully, can show you.

And Howard, please don't contribute to the spread of email address mining
viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep yourself a bit
safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest of the
internet - never post your address unmunged.
