Running XP home. Currently using a Gigabyte motherboard with an nVidia
6100/430 chipset, Ath 64 3700 San Diego. Want to swap motherboards to
an Asus with a 6150/430 chipset and use the same processor. Also want
to upgrade from 1 GB to 2 GB memory. Don't want to "reinstall" windows.

What's the process with XP home to make that change without reinstalling?

TIA,

Merrill

You can try uninstalling all M/B drivers, even video and sound drivers, swap
over mobo's, reboot, cross fingers and pray. Install new drivers, video etc,
reboot and hope for the best.
I personally wouldnt do it. But you can try if you like.
