SVChost consumes a lot of memory and causes cpu to climb to
100%. Artilce 324139 says to resolve issue contact RSA
Security Technical Support, but have been on hold for more
than an hour.

I have donwloaded spykiller, but system is to slow to run it.

Help!

I, too, am having issues with svchost.exe. Found this that
might help you.

us;250320

My issue - svchost.exe generates error and application
fails to continue working properly, such as Outlook and
Internet Explorer.

Does anyone know how to restore proper functionality of
svchost.exe host process?

Make sure you have updated your version of windows. My
guess is you have XP or 2000. Then run your virus
update, then run virus scan. You can temporarily fix
your CPU usage by hitting CTL ALT DEL and going to
processes and kill the svchost.exe that has the highest
usage. Sometimes you may have to kill it a couple of
times. Make sure you don't kill all of them, there are 3
that should still be running. One under SYSTEM on under
LOCAL SERVICE and one under the user. Also run ad aware
( which is free on the net ) and stop any services called
wow.exe.

This should free up your CPU usage quite a bit, but until
the problem is resolved you will have to stop the
svchost.exe everytime you log on.

Good Luck

Just a quick note;

Make sure its "SVChost.exe" thats running and not "SCVhost.exe" (virus!!)

You probably know this already, but the symptoms you describe are those you
would have if the virus (SCVhost.exe) was running
