svchost - RpcSs

M

Mal_UK

I have installed latest service packs & critical updates,
however, after having accessed internet for approx 10 mins
the svchost service for the RpcSs is consuming 99% of the
CPU usage & I cannot stop the service. Obviously
everything grinds to a halt & I have to restart the PC.
I have applied as many anti-virus agents as I can find,
but still no joy I have investigated as much of the
knowledge base on the subject that exists, but still
cannot prevent the problem from occurring.

Does anyone have a solution that I can apply?

Thanks in advance
