SVChost.exe/Generic Host Process

Howdy, SVChost.exe/Generic Host continues to try to
access the WWW while I am connected. ZoneAlarm alerts me
to the attempt. Searched the MS knowledge base but I do
not understand what "a generic host process name for
services that run from dynamic-link libraries." is. Should
I allow it to run or should I block it? Thanks in advance
for your asistance. K

SCVhost.exe is a valid windows file and should be
allowed access.At one time I had it blocked myself and
did not notice any pc problems,however I get several pc
newsletters and all of them said to allow access.
Perhaps someone else who is reading this might explain
exactly what it does??? And why does it needs internet
access? what if you don't have access will your computer
degrade over time?

Thanks for your input. Until I hear differently I will
let it do its thing.
