svchost.exe always crash

When I connect the PC to Internet svchost.exe crash and
with it the computer start to make strange things.
On the machines I have installed "windows media player
9", I don't know if it is this the cause of the problem.

I also get that error when i connect to the internet and
it becomes a problem to disconnect from the internet .It
would only disconnect if i remove the telephone cable from
the modem.What is the solution to this.

Have you applied all the recent patches? Svchost.exe
crashing was a sign of problems related to the
blaster.exe worm. Just a thought.
