Hello. I was wondering if you could tell me how 2
different operating systems such as windows xp and windows
2000 can tell which updates are meant for them. For
example, I have selected some updates for our xp machines
and some for our 2000 machines. Both appear to be pushed
down to both clients by the GPO set up on the domain. How
does one os know which is meant for them so that it does
not load the wrond one and crash? Thank you for your time.

Paul

The Client Computers will know which updates to get. A
windows XP update will NOT install on a Windows 2000
Machine. The Clients (PC's) are smart enought to
determine which updates to download and install
