SUS client

I installed SUS server and downloaded all the patches. I approved few patches and wanted to push down to all my work station W2K pro with SP4 that belong to test OU

I went to GPO added WUAU template and enabled configure automatic updates,
Specify intranet update service location htt://susserver or http://sussever.domain.com
Enabled Reschedule automatic update scheduled installations, enabled no auto restart.

I wanted few days and my client is not getting any update from SUS server but, when I go to control panel click on automated update, schedule is changed to according as what I set for.

What else am I missing or can do

Hi there

It sounds like you're doing everything right. If you take a look at the
"c:\winnt\windows update.log" file, it will give you some clue as to what
the WUAU client is doing.

There's a great community resource for SUS here.
http://www.susserver.com/

Also, see the following:
http://www.susserver.com/FAQs/FAQ-IsYourSUSServerWorking.asp

There's a dedicated newsgroup at microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs. It
sounds to me like you've got the Group Policy part right, but just to
double-check that, take a look in the following registry key on your test
machine to make sure the GPO is taking effect.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\

There's more documentation on this at the site I gave, in addition to the
documentation Microsoft produces.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sus/default.mspx

Hope this helps

Oli

Normally you need to specify the http://susserver/susadmin/ or
http://susserver.domain.com/susadmin/ as the URL.
Check out http://www.susserver.com they have some useful stuff on
troubleshooting SUS.
