Hi,
I have Windows 2000 native mode domain with one SUS server
hosted on Windows 2000 member server.
Has configured Automatic Updates (through GPO) on client
workstations to check security update from local SUS
server.
It seems to work properly, but on some Windows 2000
workstation in system log appears error:
"Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the
following update...." that repeats every Automatic Updates
cycle (with the same failed updates).

What are the steps for troubleshooting?

Maybe the users don't have the right permissions locally?
How is the path to your SUS server configured in the policy. Maybe the computer cabbot resolve the name. Try the ipadress instead

The log file to check first is %windir%\Windows Update.log. There are some
