Surprise when WP doc opened in Word - BIG PROBLEM!

I have a BIG problem! I opened a WordPerfect 9 document in Word and DID NOT
SAVE IT. But when I returned to WordPerfect to open it, it wouldn't allow me
to open it, said something about the formatting. This is a big document that
will have to be practically done over. DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. I do
remember that happening other times and this happened by accident.

I am home now and I tried the same thing - saving a WP doc and opening it up
in Word and then trying to open it again in WP and I had NO problem. I am
really baffled.

When I go to work on Monday, do you think there is any way I can open this
document in WP.

Hi

My first guess would be to ensure that you had closed Word before trying to
open the document in WordPerfect.

When Word opens a document, it creates temporary files to assist in the
editing process, and to "lock" the file to prevent another user from opening
the same document. Closing Word should delete all those temporary files. But
to be sure, follow the instructions at
