Support for Windows Vista

I just read that Microsoft is stopping support of Windows Vista effective
April 13, 2009.

I hope this is not true since it means that system updates will be
discontinued and Windows Essentials will no longer provide security for this
Windows application. What can you tell me about this?

Thanks,

Gene L.

Only for Vista *with no service packs* (AKA Vista RTM)! Support for Vista
with SP2 goes far into the future.

If you have not installed SP2, you should do so.

Thank you for taking the time to clarify this. (I also apologize for citing
the year 2009 when obviously I should have written 2010). I feel a little
better about the situation now.
