Support for 64 bit XP install

I'm looking for some help on the installation of the
downloadable 64 Bit XP install.

Once it boots from CD it starts the standard
installation. The floppy drive starts to spin once the
blue screen comes up saying that it is inspecting system
and thats where is halts. I have installed a standard
version of XP on this system and it runs. And yes this is
an AMD 64 bit chip, FX-53.

I just recently downloaded the beta version of Windows XP 64 bit edition, but
I am unable to install the OS. If I click the green arrow to install, it's
like clicking on a dead hyperlink. What do I do? I have an HP AMD 64 3400+
notebook. If there's a solution, please let me know. Thanks

Just as it says on the web site from which you downloaded it
(assuming you have the authorized beta from the legitimate Microsoft
site), you first have to burn the *.ISO file you downloaded to a
create a bootable CD. Consult the instructions of whatever CD-burning
application you use. Once you've created the CD, boot from it and
follow the normal on-screen installation prompts and instructions.
