support.com protecting ????

Is anyone familiar with something called Support.com Protecting? Every once
in a while, maybe once a week (at least when I catch it) I see this DNA like
spiral on my Sys-tray. It is spinning. If I mouse over it, I see the words
SUPPORT.COM Protecting.

What is it, what is it coming from, do I need it, and if not, how do I get
rid of it?
