Superscript footnote reference numbers too small.

I recently changed the font in my “BodyText†style from Garamond to Officina. Basically it worked as one might expect except for the footnote numbers. What is typically a small but proportional superscript is now an itsy bitsy super-tiny number. How can I change the size of the superscript footnote reference number? I need to be sure that both the references (by the text and at page end) reflect the larger size.

The easiest would be to change the font size definition in the style used
exclusively for Footnote reference. Insert a footnote, select only the
reference itself and go to the Style and Formatting pane/dialog. Change the
font size or any other attribute you want to change. This style is normally
a character style that takes on the font attribute from the paragraph where
it is used, except that it is superscript. So, you may want to try to remove
the superscript attribute, use a smaller font size then the default size and
raise the character a few point (Spacing tab) above the line.

Good luck.

If the selected one changed but the unselected ones didn't, then you were
applying direct formatting. Instead, make sure you are modifying the
"Footnote reference" *style*.

Thanks. I triied again and it seems to be working - I think my main problem
is the font Officina - it is just too small in super/sub script. The other
fonts I tried worked well.

That is what I suggested, that you do not use superscript with that font,
but a slightly smaller font and a raised position from the baseline of about
2-3 points... Did you try that?
