Hello,

I have three (One Text and two numbers) coloumns and approx 8000 rows and
about every 30-50 rows contains a heading such that they are merged.

Now i want to Insert a new row at the heading and put a sum of all the
numbers in both coloumns there. The sum will be inserted at the end of the
previous heading. for a heading you will find its sum at start of new heading.

There may be more than one merged headings.

Please guide me, how can i do this.

Regards,
Rahul

Dear Mr Troy,

This is no doubt a great tool, but not my piece of cake. There are some
Reasons:

1. I have heading on top "only".
2. I have merged cells in the work book.
3. There may be and may not be row that are left out, as there may be
information in C but not in B.

Is there any other way?

Put your data in one worksheet, and your "report" in another. It's very
common for people to want all their data to look nice, and to also
manipulate it. This is not the best layout. The best layout is to have
"plain, old, flat data". Then, if you so desire, make another worksheet to
put your summaries and "pretty" things on, by linking to the flat data.

Good luck!
