Guys can you pass this to the Windows team? i know it isn't for this thread
but i don't know other place to post my needs for Windows 7.

Thank you

-------------------------

- Animated log-on screen

- Show a clock on log-on screen

- Ability for animated flip instant account switch (No log-on screen
intermediate process)

- Better file system (Better than NTFS) that won't require defragmentation.

- Internet Explorer : Full CSS 3.1 standards compliance,SVG support,HTTP
Pipelining,Integrate multiple separate windows into tabs and viceversa,3D tab
switching (optional,could work alongside Flip3d),spellchecker, in-line
search, download manager,faster rendering engine,better add-on interface
manager (similar to firefox).

- Strict 3rd party driver hardware installation policies, automatic driver
diagnostic tool to determine the quality of the written driver.

- Option to restore default services running on memory configuration
(services.msc )

- Preload similar services and applicatios from different accounts before
user logs in the Welcome screen

(Reduced boot time)

- Ability to undock playlist from Windows Media Player. (More compact
interface),more skins.

- Ability for synchornized work between perfomance features
(Readyboost,Readydrive,Superfetch)

- Computarized service AI module,(this module will disable uneeded services
based upon usability of the OS in time).

- Full modularity

- Constant hardware analisis and reports, adding it to the windows error
reporting tool function process.

- Animated UAC prompt, less intrusive (fade effect?)

- Root out old windows icons and interfaces from future relases like windows
7, (istartedsomething)

You're assuming that MS cares what you want. They don't.

If they didn't people wouldn't buy their products.

Another clueless user who thinks that people buy Windows because
Microsoft cares what people want. Quite the opposite, I'm afraid, as is
evidenced by WPA and WGA. People buy Windows because Microsoft has a de
facto monopoly. As Bill Gates replied to Steve Jobs when he was told
that Apple makes better products:

"You don't get it; quality doesn't matter".

I already do this with DUST, which makes switching between users as easy as
using ALT + TAB to switch between apps.

- Internet Explorer : Full CSS 3.1 standards compliance,SVG support,HTTP
Pipelining,Integrate multiple separate windows into tabs and viceversa,3D

Some of those ideas are just silly, like 3D Flip wasn't useless enough, you
want more of it. Some of them are already available with Firefox, or by
using the Google Toolbar.

IE8 is already going to be CSS 2.1 compliant, and making it CSS 3 compliant
would be pretty difficult seeing as it hasn't even been finalised yet, let
alone CSS 3.1.

- Strict 3rd party driver hardware installation policies, automatic driver
diagnostic tool to determine the quality of the written driver.

Vista 64-bit already requires all drivers to be certified.
- Preload similar services and applicatios from different accounts before
user logs in the Welcome screen
Why?

- Full modularity

Windows Server 2008 is a lot more modular, and Windows 7 probably will be
more modular as well.
- Constant hardware analisis and reports, adding it to the windows error
reporting tool function process.

That would slow the OS down a lot. Vista is already slow and bloated. What
they need to do is go in the opposite direction with the next release.
- Animated UAC prompt, less intrusive (fade effect?)
LOL

- Root out old windows icons and interfaces from future relases like
windows
7, (istartedsomething)

They priorities what needs to be done, and Windows is something that evolves
rather than gets completely rewritten with every release.

Scrap all that.

Just make it so I don't need to have Antivirus + AntiSpyware crapware
wasting my CPU time and requiring monthly scans.
Mac and Linux users don't need all this. Nor should Windows :)

Are you running Linux ?
No.
So you don't know what your talking about.

I'll take running an AV any day over spending weeks getting sound and
video to run correctly.

If I have to apt-get , make , or synaptic thru 24,900 packages much
longer... something starting with a U is gonna get formatted !

Actually there was a powertoy for xp called super fast user switching, but
was withdrawn from the powertoys at some point..

to read about this go here http://www.aumha.org/a/powertoy.php (bottom of
page)

Faster User Switcher - (Withdrawn April 2002.) "With Fast User Switching
enabled on Windows XP, this PowerToy allows you to switch users without
having to use the logon screen." To enable it once it's installed, see
Control Panel | User Accounts | Change the way users log on or off | Use
Fast User Switching. You then can use Win+Q to toggle between users. (The
Win+L function remains available also and, frankly, I prefer it.) To learn
about restrictions to this function, search under "Fast User Switching" in

I remember that, but I never used it much those days, like I did with some
other powertoys. Those days I still ran as admin, and did not know as much
command line as I do now. DUST allows saving of passwords in some accounts,
but not in others, and is more customisable.

Control over a market is more important than quality...

Is that your gopher's marketing philosophy?
sure a few may buy the better product....(Mac OSX)

Who says that is a better product? You? Who are you?

but most are being manipulated by MS either they know it or not,
either they like it or not.

You just can't conceal your outright hatred for MS can you. Is it
because Vista is too complex for a simple minded idiot like you?
If so, then you need to stop making a fool out of yourself in here.

Its true!

Figures!

1) I do not hate MS. I love them as long as they do what is good for

Hahaha...that is funny! You're just stupid aren't you?
2) Vista is one of the least complex OS I have used and configured

it's a toy compared to linux...

A very bad designed toy though..

it's a shame it and you are so stupid.
Let's see...you can't figure out Vista cause you're an incompetent
ignorant stupid POS gopher
and you think you're smarter than most people?
Hahahaha...have your mommy change your diaper cause you are so full of

Frank, give me your doctors phone pls.

You're sick? Hell we've all known that from day one! Don't bother with
any doctor, just jump off the nearest building or off the closest bridge
or go play on the freeway!

He has to know your symptoms of
insanity in detail..

You've got all of them. Ask ringbastard for help, he's an expert on
mental illnesses and he has spent the last 20+ yrs in a mental institution.
it seems like you are not telling him everything or else you would be
subdued with strong narcotics.

Oh? So you're looking drugs huh?
Sorry jerkoff, but I can't help you!...LOL!
Loser!
