Suggestion for Outlook

I find I use my In-Box to store outstanding e-mails which require action.
However sometimes numerous outstanding e-mails relate to a single topic.
Would be useful if I could create a folder within in-box pane to group
related outstanding e-mails under yet still keep in in-box as this is my
primary store area for work to do.

I expect there are other ways to work to overcome this but many people seem
to use in-box as work to do store and hence would be useful

Tried using Views and Search Folders already to achieve this? Basically you
can use Views for in-folder sorting and Search Folders for cross-folders
sorting.

Right click on the inbox and choose New folder. however, don't get carried
away and make hundreds of folders - it;'s too hard to find anything. Use
custom views and/or search folders instead.

You might try using the colored flags as well. When you right click on a
message you can choose the 'follow up' then whatever color flag (6 colors by
default to choose from). Those messages will still be in the inbox but then
they will also appear in the 'for follow up' section. Just go to that folder
to see everything you still have to deal with. Once you have dealt with them
just click on the flag to change it to a checkmark and it's no longer in
that section.

I archive all the messages for an online chat group (around 5000 emails per
week) the flag method works pretty well for me.
