Suggestion for graphics cards...

I have AMD 64 bit 2400 processor ,512 RAM on ASUS K8S MX mother
board, wanted to upgrade my pc with a decent good performance
graphics cards.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Requirement:Running vista/Ubuntu with Compiz

This one doesn't use too much power. Since you didn't mention the
word "game", I assume this card is not for gaming. DX9.0, PS3.0, VS3.0,
256MB graphics memory. Good enough for Vista at least, not sure
about Compiz compositor.
