Suggestion: File association change monitor

One of the most annoying things that programs can do is change file
associations without the user having any say. Just yesterday I installed a
new video card. To my suprise, ATI has decided that it's player should be
associated with all audio/video file types and so it changed the
associations - without ever asking me. Now I was forced to go in and
manually change everything back. Seeing as how AntiSpyware detects things
like creating of startup programs, IE setting changes, etc., why not also
have it detect file association changes? I for one would welcome this
addition.

FWIW WinPatrol (free for personal use) monitors file associations.
