Sugestion need, please

I would like to by a new computer:

processor Q6600
MB Intel DP 35 DPM
RAM 2*2GB DDR2 667
HD 2* 250GB
Vista Home Premium 64 b
TV Tuner.

Some questions:

1. Please, what the difference between MB: DP 35 DPM and DP 35 DP? Any way
is it good MB?
2. Are there any big difference among DDR2, DDR3, 667 and 800 MH regarding
performance. (DDR 2 is very cheap)
3. What video card do you suggest me in a price range $100-$200
4. Does Vista home premium 64b support quadro core processor?

Thanks for any input or suggestion.

Doesn't seem to be any difference. What shop have you found it in? I have
seen a few advertised as DP, but the manufacturer number says DPM, so
perhaps its just that the M is missed off the end of the name in some shops!
If there is a difference in spec, then letters ommitted from a motherboard
name usually refer to onboard features, like A for audio, N for network, V
for video, but I can't think what M would be for!
2. Are there any big difference among DDR2, DDR3, 667 and 800 MH regarding

DDR3 would be quicker at some tasks, but you would have to be a enthusuast
to notice right now. Wait until speeds increase, then the gap between DDR2
and DDR3 will widen. The difference is really a future proofing issue. I
would personally save the money and buy DDR2. I would also (personally) get
more than 2GB, or at least buy the right configuration such that you can
upgrade easily in the future. Beware, XP and Vista - 32 bit versions will
not use more than around 3GB regardless of what you put in. Vista 64 will
use as much RAM as you can buy (at the moment).
3. What video card do you suggest me in a price range $100-$200

To do what with? Run Vista - anything with a 3d processor from the last
couple of years. Modern gaming - the fastest you can afford. Check
TomsHardware.com for tables and reviews
4. Does Vista home premium 64b support quadro core processor?

I don't have it, but believe it does. However - do you really need Vista? It
has bad reviews and is about 10% slower than XP at most things.

What a mess. Among other things, used fixed width fonts in Usenet.

You have listed "vista home premium 32b". What is the 32b part? If this
means 32bit, then your 4GB of RAM will be a waste of time - see my last
post!

Make sure you have plenty of case cooling for this PC - its going to get
very hot in there. You might also consider some ear protectors when working
near the machine as its going to be noisy with all those fans running -
especially with anything called 'superclocked'!

This is a newsgroup on PC hardware, not a book submissions site. What does
it matter if the numbers didn't quite line up in his reply - who cares! I
think you should get out more!

I gather you prefer that the original poster never be advised that
his posts are a mess and hard to read. Remember that they probably
do not appear a mess to him, as he is using the same font he wrote
it in.

The numbers in his post didn't quite line up, but calling it 'hard to read'
really is over the top! Your reply sounded like a school teacher telling off
a naughty pupil!

Your assumption is almost correct; What I would prefer is that posts that
are a mess and hard to read should be replied to with a message politely
explaining the problem and requesting that they repost. In this case the
post was perfectly readable and there was no need for the OP to repost. Once
again, you have jumped in and tried to bully and force your opinion on
everyone. I would prefer that you just leave the average Joe alone and stop
butting in with pointless and irritating comments regarding grammar and text
formatting. This is a hardware discussions board, not an essay evaluation
group! Comments here should be relevant to hardware and answer the previous
post. Your reply was neither.

'hard to read' appeared only in my reply to your criticism. Not in
the original.

I disagree that anything was 'impolite'. Possibly terse. I never
requested a repost, I simply advised the OP of the effects of his
post. The time to do this is as near as possible to his first
post.
