My computer has worked fine since new , I hadn't added any programs when
suddenly last night it wouldn't send emails - no error message at all . If i
click "send all " a screen flashes up and dissappears too fast to read it and
nothing happens , my outbox is filling up .
I am running vista on an HPdv6000 .
{ I do have Norton running on both laptops , the other old laptop has xp and
is sending and receiving with no problems }

Open the Outbox folder. Move as many of the Outbox messages
as you can to he Drafts folder. If any won't move or can't be deleted,
apply this Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

The reason this problem develops is because Norton antivirus causes
corruption in Windows Mail. Norton antivirus is among the top three
troublemakers for Windows Mail. Symptoms often don't start until months later.
The only way you can prove or disprove that Norton is the culprit is to
uninstall it, followed by using their debris removal tool:

Another option is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which is more
resistant to the adverse effects of aggressive antivirus products:

In any case you must disable any antivirus email scanning, for the reason
explained here:

Thanks , I'll try that now since I just noticed that one of the gave an
"unknown error' when i tried to open it and it wouldn't delete for me .
