Suddenly unable to write data to CD??

In the past I have been able to easily write files to disk by simply
right-clicking 'send to>drive E>cdr/rw.' on any file I wished to burn.

Now I am getting the error message:
'Cannot complete the CD writing wizard'

I can write Data using the 'Ashampoo' CD burning suite I recently installed
(in order to burn audio more simply) but this is less convenient for data.

Is this software somehow over-riding Windows?

I have checked by running 'services.msc / s' and noticed that the 'Imapi-CD
com' service is in the 'stopped' state and set to manual startup.

If I change this to'start>automatic' I still cannot write to the Edrive
using a right-click command and it seems to revert to the 'off' state at will.

I have enabled ALL services to start at logon using msconfig.but this
doesn't help.
I am at about the limit of my settings ability ...........can anybody help
me work it out?

Uninstall the suite you installed to "make things easier".
