suddenly slow and anoying pop ups

help. i am new to computers. i am 70 years young, so if you respond, please
make it simple! i have cable hook up to the internet. all of a sudden it
takes forever to connect and sometimes it cant find the server. and i get pop
ups. the cable company said it's my operating system. what happened? I
installed and ran spybot and ad aware, but maybe they made it slower? can
someone tell me what to do, please? thanks so much!

I also had that problem. When I installed Ad Aware, my computer slowed down
to a crawl speed. After twenty hours of searching and praying I found a
program called Spy Sweeper at www.webroot.com which solved the problem. I
would uninstall Spybot and Ad Aware and try this program. It takes about
forty minutes for it to scan the computer, but it got rid of the popups and
did not slow down anything. Good luck.
