I just installed Service Pack 2 over XP Pro. I've got a Microsoft
Broadband MN-700, and I had to download and install updated software so
it will work with SP2. Now all of a sudden I have a public IP address,
and the other computers on my little home network are no longer listed
in the device list. Is this a dangerous situation? I don't know very
much about this stuff, but the sound of the term "public IP address"
gets me a little nervous.

I've got Windows XP Pro SP2's firewall turned off and I'm using Zone
Alarm Pro, but I have to use a slightly older version of Zone Alarm
because the latest version doesn't like something about Norton
Anti-Virus and it makes my personal ColdFusion server not function
properly. Should I be concerned about the public IP address?

TIA

I neglected to mention that not only can't I see the other computers listed
in the Broadband Network Utility, but the other computers on the network
have no Internet access anymore. Zone Alarm Pro has the public IP address as
a network in the Internet Zone and the two other computer's IP addresses in
the Trusted Zone. Can somebody please tell me how to restore Internet access
to the other two computers? Thanks.

This seems like a configuration problem with Zone Alarm. I would try
looking there first for help. Contact Zone Alarm or search their
website for help. I am not familiar with the program as I use Sygate
Personal Firewall (which is slightly better in my opinion and free) :)

This is a wireless router right? Have you tried the wireless network
connection setup in Control Panel?
