Facts: suddenly, a smart card[ SD ] is NOT detected in either the computer,
or when I put it in my HP photosmart printer. I used to have a small window
come up that asked how I wanted to open the photos.
I am very Unskilled at the computer, so I am really lost here..
Any HELP, would greatly be APRRECIATED
THANKS

This is not good news, if the chip can not be detected it has probably
failed. If a chip wants to be reformatted, then it is probably
corrupted and can be recovered.

As both printer and computer can not see the card, it is probably not
the reader. Can the camera see the card?

Same thing happened to me a recently. After
a couple of restarts it began working again.

Something to try...

Go to...My Computer...

Right click the icon for the drive in
question. For example...a card
reader may be listed as:
Removable Disk (E:)
(if you have a multi-card reader
you may have several...E, F, G, etc)

Choose....Properties / Autoplay tab.

Open the Content Type drop window
and choose Pictures.

Left click the "Restore Defaults" button / Apply / OK.

would NOT open, but at leasat I have learned some more about how to get
