Suddenlink Conversion in Outlook

Charter is converting to Suddenlink in our area. Suddenlink told me I needed
to make my new Suddenlink e-mail default for my old Charter accounts to
continue working in Outlook 2003. I have done so. Although my Charter
accounts send and receive fine now in Outlook, the Suddenlink account keeps
popping up a screen asking for my username and password, even though they are
already correct in the popup. Then I receive error message
(0x8004210B)--timeout waiting for SMTP server. Suddenlink seems to have no
clue why this is a problem and tell me it is a Microsoft issue. I was talking
to my physician today, and he is having the same problem with his
Charter/Suddenlink conversion in Outlook. Can any of you nice forum folks
help out? Thanks! Marilyn

If you switch the SMTP server in your Suddenlink account to the same one you
use (or used) in your Charter account, do things work better?
