Sudden problem: Unable to open Secure sites with IE.

Using IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2 on Windows XP.

Everything was working fine, but suddenly I am unable to login to
Hotmail or Yahoo mail.
I suspect it is a problem with https?

I clicked on Internet Options Advanced and restored all default
settings but it didn't help.

I receive "page cannot be displayed" error.

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443.

Go to Start | Run and enter these commans (press <Enter after each one).

Regsvr32 Wintrust.dll
Regsvr32 Initpki.dll
Regsvr32 Dssenh.dll

Regsvr32 Gpkcsp.dll
Regsvr32 Sccbase.dll
Regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll

I ran the above and they all succeeded, relaunched IE, but that didn't
solve the problem. Does that mean that port 443 is not being blocked?

I'll go ahead and follow the rest of the procedure...

No. The have nothing to do with the firewall, but must be registered for
secure sites to load.
