Thanks for the tips... My IE is back to normal. I tried the basic
diagnostics before I posted this question. Didn't work. Then, your winsock
suggestion got me thinking.... and I tried this simple command at the
command
line:
netsh winsock reset
Everything worked from that point onwards. So basically it was a Winsock2
corruption (since I am using XP Pro and IE6). The article I had looked at
