Sudden Blue Screen...

This happens usually when I'm surfing the net (as a page
is loading), or when I am on the net just reading
something (already loaded page doing nothing), when I do a
scan (virus, trojan, whatever), and lastly when I try to
install most programs (I don't think I've ever acually
finished installing AOL - but it installs enough to get it
working). Every time I do any of those activities, I have
to cross my fingers and hope the PC won't blue screen. The
BSOD is always a memory dump, with a count down. Any light
on this subject?
