Successful WSA start-up not yet complete

I have the following error code
10093: Successful WSA Startup not yet complete.
This occurs when I have tried to use a Wireless adapter through the PCMCIA
slot on my laptop. After contacting Linksys, they say it is a Windows error
code. I cannot find information on it, that is of any help to me. I have
tried to install, re-install etc the software and checked all my wireless
adapter settings. Can someone please help with a remedy?

WSANOTINITIALISED (10093)
There might be 2 possibilities: 1) software, which is your linksys driver's
problem. 2) you may have problem on your winsock.

If 2) is the case, then try looking at this.
