Subreports won't print

I have been working on various databases for a few months. All of a sudden,
none of my reports with subreports will print records. I can see the records
in the print preview but the records will not print. Only the headers and
footers from the main report print. Data is there...it's there on print
preview...but does not print. This is happening with all my databases except
ones that are a year or two old.

My master & child links are fine, and in some cases there are no links
required. My main reports will also calculate the number of records in my
subreport and the information on the number of records is sent to the printer,
but my subreports are blank...

The subreports print fine by themselves but not when used on the main report.

I'm using Access 2000. Any one with any information on a possible culprit or
solution...Please Help!

Thank you.

Hello (what is your name?)

sounds like the Visible property for the detail section may be false....
would not explain being there on preview but not being there on on print...

what is the code behind your report?

Hi Crystal,

I'm Jody

I wish it were that simple. Code is mostly VB. All my detail sections on
the reports are visible. It's not just affecting one database...it's
affecting at least 5 others on my system (Windows 2000). I'm somewhat of a
newbie but have been working with a programmer with lots of experience who
can't figure it out either.

All was fine until she returned a DB that I was having a problem with...she
sent it back with the code I needed and now I can't print subreports from any
of my databases. She set me up with a union query and we are now wondering
if the DB she returned somehow effected mine. She originally wrote the code
for me on a laptop that had no printer, using Access 2003. She sent it to me
and I imported her union query and noticed I could no longer print data using
subreports, although I could see the data in print preview. I returned the
DB to her and she printed the reports/subreports with no problem from her
home PC...which she uses on a SQL Server.

I know it sounds crazy but I sent her the DBs that I am having the problems
with and she can print but I can not.

She logs on to a server and writes code from home...could that have affected
my database programs when I imported the union query....???

I am going to email the DBs to my work so I can rule out my system.
Otherwise, several months worth of work will be down the tubes if we can't
figure out what the problem is. Any suggestions, big or small would be
greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Jody
