Subreport data intermittently not appearing

I have a subreport whose data intermittently does not appear on the main
report during print preview mode. However, the subreport data always appears
when printing the report--even if printing is initiated from the print
preview.

This is not a master/child linking problem, since it is intermittent--some
times it works; other times it does not. I am inclined to think this is a
problem with print drivers. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem?
