When sending a message with a subjectline such a eg "subject: this is a
test", correspondent (even my own address) receives only "his is a tets". The
first character in the subjectline is LOST? Any idea?

Many mail programs interpret the : as a delimiter between a prefix like RE: or FW: and the real subject. Avoid using it. Instead, use something like Subject - This is a Test.

Thanks a lot Sue.
Tried your suggestion
Sending: Subject: Subject - Test
Received: ubject - test
First character of the "variable-zone" still disappears.
Can I send you a "printscreen" image, may this could help you in sseing my
problem. (is not a dissaster, but I curious to know why!)
