Dropping first character of Subject line

I recently changed from having my own Exchange server to using an e-mail
host, At that time one of my machines - and only one - has taken to losing
the first character of the Subject line, i.e. if I send a message with a
subject line of Test, what is received (and also in my Sent Items box) is
just est. If I double up the first character (TTest) it still drops just the
first one so it functions as a workaround. I have compared all of the
configuration details with a working machine and everything appears to be the
same.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Many thanks,

I vaguely recall this is generally caused by AV software that plugs into
Outlook. Try disabling the Outlook A/V plugin and see if the problem continues.
