Subject Line Email first letter or space missing

For about a month I have had the first letter of my subject line "eaten"
whenever I send an email. For example, if I send "Home at 7PM" the recipient
only sees "ome at 7PM" If I hit the space bar, the space goes away but the
message looks normal. Any ideas on how to fix this.
 
The recipient doesn't see the first letter? It is missing from the subject
of your sent items?
 
Correct, The recipient does not see the first letter. If I reply to an
email, the "R" is missing from Re: Thanks
