First letter disappears on subject line on outlook email (2007)

Hi, for the past few weeks the first letter of whatever I type in the subject
line of an email disappears. It makes no difference whether it's 1 word or 5
- emails look very unprofessional.

I don't recall changing any settings & have never come across this before.
If I remember to do a space first it's okay but more often than not I forget!

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

This is typically the result of you having an antivirus program integrated
with Outlook. Uninstall your antivirus program and reinstall it without the
mail scanning feature.
