subject line cutting first letter on outgoing e-mails.

When I send an e-mail from outlook, the subject line is ommitting the first
letter on outgoing e-mails (when they are viewed by the recipient). I'm
using outlook 2003. Any ideas?

Running a Symantec product like Norton Internet Security? It appears that a
recent update of them could cause this.
