Sub menu's appear and then go 0.5 seconds later

When I run my mouse pointer over the sub menu arrows in the 'All Programs'
display the sub menu's appear and then go about 0.5 of a second later.

I'm using the XP start menu.

Yes this is a 2nd go because I'm getting desperate :)

I don't se know Question Mark??

..5 isn't fast enough???? notice the ???? marks
