Styles

1. How do I get rid of a style? I can get it off the quick style bar but it
keeps appearing in the style list whenever I start Word. How do I delete a
style completely (and not just deleted from the current document).

2. Can a style be used to make numbered paragraphs with a first line indent
only (not all text indented) and double space separation between
singled-spaced paragraphs? Quick styles created and saved to the template
revert to the fully indented numbering.

1. Built-in styles cannot be deleted, I think. All other can be deleted
from the style pane, right-click the style and delete. To remove it not
just from the document, open the template (.dot) and delete it from
there.

2. Yes. Choose a numbered list style, and format the paragraph settings
to your liking. For the indent you describe, choose "First line" under
"Special" [Indentation section]
For the double space between paragraphs, choose an appropriate "Spacing
after" setting. After yr settings check "add to template" to preserve
them for the document and for future documents based on this template.

Thanks much. That nailed both issues. Well done!
